Salvation

Here are the Bible facts that you must understand in order to become a Christian:

  1. Every man is a sinner.

    2. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
    Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

  2. There is a penalty for man’s sin.

    3. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death…"
    · Sin must be paid for!
    · This word death means eternal separation from God in a horrible place called hell.

    Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

    Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

  3. Jesus has already paid the penalty for man’s sin.

    4. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

    Hebrews 2:9 "…that He (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for every man."

    I John 2:2 "And He is the propitiation (sacrifice) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

    I Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit."

  4. You must place your faith in Jesus as your Savior from sin.

    5. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."

    Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast."

    · Your good works will not save you!
    Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

    · Believe to trust, depend, or rely upon.
    John 1:12 "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."

    John 5:24 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

    Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth into righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

    Romans10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Dear Friend,

When you pray and trust the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive your sin and be your Saviour (calling on the name of the Lord), He saves you from the penalty of sin and death in Hell. Will you repent of your sins and trust Christ to be your Saviour? Will you rely on Him alone to forgive your sin and give you everlasting life in Heaven? If so, bow your head and pray sincerely this simple prayer from your heart, placing your trust in Jesus.

"Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe that You died on the cross for my sin. Right now I turn from my sin and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I am trusting You and You alone to forgive my sin, become my Saviour, and take me to Heaven when I die. Thank You for saving my soul. Please help me to live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
